The eligibility criteria for the Railway Group D Exam 2025 are as follows:
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:
- Passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board OR
- Hold an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate from an institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT OR
- Have an equivalent qualification
🔹 Note: Candidates who are awaiting their 10th result are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit:

The candidate’s age must be between 18 to 36 years as of January 1, 2025.

Medical Fitness:

Nationality:
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
The selection procedure comprises three stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): The CBT will consist of multiple-choice questions covering subjects like Mathematics, General Science, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Awareness & Current Affairs.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates qualifying in the CBT will undergo a PET to assess their physical capabilities.
- Document Verification and Medical Examination: Successful candidates from the PET will be called for document verification, followed by a medical examination to ensure fitness for the applied post.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refundable upon appearing in CBT)
- SC/ST/EBC/Ex-Servicemen/Female/Transgender/Minorities: ₹250 (fully refundable upon appearing in CBT)

The selection process for RRB Group D 2025 consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Stage 1
🔹 The CBT is an online objective-type exam with multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
🔹 The test is conducted in English, Hindi, and regional languages.

📌 Syllabus Highlights:
- Mathematics: Number system, BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio, Algebra, Geometry, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, etc.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Puzzle, Analogies, Syllogism, Blood Relations, etc.
- General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Life Science (up to Class 10 level).
- General Awareness & Current Affairs: Current events, Indian History, Polity, Sports, Economy, etc
2. Physical Efficiency Test(PET)- Stage 2
Only those who qualify in the CBT will be called for the PET.
PET Criteria:
🔹 For Male Candidates:
- Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (without putting it down).
- Should be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
🔹 For Female Candidates:
- Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (without putting it down).
- Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
🔹 For PwD Candidates:
- Exempted from PET but must pass a medical examination.
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination – Stage 3
Candidates who clear the PET will be called for document verification and a medical fitness test.

- Income certificate for EWS candidates
- Aadhaar Card
- Domicile certificate (if required)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)

📌 Medical Standards:
- Candidates must meet vision and physical fitness requirements as per the post applied.
- Some posts require clear eyesight without glasses.
Final Selection:
- The final merit list is prepared based on CBT scores.
- PET is qualifying in nature.
- Candidates who pass the medical test and document verification will be selected for appointment in Indian Railways.
